Hello everyone,

This is a message to arena net specifically, even though only their PR read the forums. I am posting this publicly as I have heard of a number of people having issues so believe it is a bug or error in their banning processes.

Please consider a review of the mechanisms that you use to auto ban players. If you support this, reply below, and if not, go troll another thread. This is an important issue which needs to be resolved.

According to Anet, they do not use any automated banning, it is all done manually by support.

I would like to see reference of this statement, as I have heard of a number of instances where suspensions have been issued within 5mins of an incident occurring.
A number of people on Jade Quarry have been having issues and I know of one individual who was banned quickly for giving an guild mate back his 40g. This leads me to believe that they may use a flagging system that other MMOs have used for big shifts of money. Even though to some people 40g is peanuts.

I have to take that back, from looking back through Gaile’s posts, appearently they are using some automated scripts for bots and gold sellers.

Shiningsquirrel is right, we do not suspend user’s accounts via an automatic system. Every suspension is delivered after a thorough investigation which will give us all necessary proofs about suspected behaviors.

Also, please note that you can always do an appeal after a suspension that in your opinion isn’t justified. To do this, please send a request to our customer support.
